Randy Simpson Loves Singing Gospel Music

E-mail Print PDF

Randy SimpsonBorn on May 11, 1969, Randy Simpson was raised in a Christian home.  Randy's father, Terry, played the piano with The Gabriels, a Gospel quartet well known in the state of Pennsylvania for their unique style and harmonies.

As a young boy, Randy learned to love and enjoy Gospel music.  Unfortunately, he was tempted as a young teenager to try other styles of music.  As a result of that, Randy performed in heavy metal rock bands in bars and clubs.  In May of 1985, just short of his 16th birthday, Randy realized his need for salvation.  He also realized that it was his heart's desire to sing Gospel music.

Throughout the past 18 years, Randy has been a part of a number of Gospel music ministries.  From 1985 to 1986, he was a member of The King's Messengers; in 1986 he was a part of The Valley Four.  In 1987 Randy had a solo ministry for a couple of years before joining The Brothers in 1988 where he would stay for 11 years.  Randy's biggest decision came in April of 1999 when he decided to follow the Lord's direction into a full-time solo ministry.  Randy has been traveling all of the United States proclaiming the Gospel in song for over 15 years.

Randy is now recognized as one of the most exciting and dynamic singers in southern Gospel music today!  His popularity is no doubt enhanced by his personality that has been described as "friendly," "happy," "positive," and "warm and gentle," just to name a few.  Some have even said that "his happiness is contagious."

Randy has had the opportunity to share the concert stage with many other favorites in southern Gospel music.  Artists such as Phil Cross & Poet Voices, The Pfeifers, The Greenes, Tony Gory & Majesty, The Freemans, The Hoppers, The Kingsmen, The Dixie Melody Boys, Gold City, The Bishops, The Whisnants, Greater Vision, The Anchormen, The McKameys, The Couriers, Joel and Labreska Hemphill, The Crabb Family, The Dove Brothers Quartet and Kirk Talley have all been featured on programs along with Randy.

Whether you are listening to a recording by Randy or hearing him in concert, I'm sure that your ears will be pleased and your heart will be blessed.
